Astral New Horror Film

Astral projection is an emerging concept in film. Hollywood released several films which tap into astral travel. Nonetheless, only one film suggested astral projection as a theme. Insidious is the new astral horror film in Hollywood.

Insidious is about a young boy who is a gifted astral traveler. He is capable of inducing an out-of-body-experience to travel into the astral world. During his astral projection binges, he manages to get trapped in the "Further," a world no human is supposed to visit beyond the astral world. 

Astral projection is specifically mentioned as a developing problem which required a psychic medium. The psychic medium determined that neither of the two houses are haunted, but it is the young boy who is. Spirits crave for the young boy's physical body because his astral body is lost in the Further.

You will notice only one instance that astral projection (out-of-body-experience) is employed in the film. Insidious is a dark film with evil content such as demon possession, unsettled spirits who are unable to leave any of the homes and an astral projection theme with daunting effects.
